Ride Base

Tenterfield Endurance Riding Club Ride Base offers affordable, secluded camping in the heart of Girard Forest, providing an ideal base for riders and outdoor enthusiasts seeking space, quiet, and connection to country. Campers enjoy a covered camp kitchen and meeting area, a gazebo (all with access to power), hot showers and toilets, and flood lights for hosting night time events.  The grounds are set within easy access of an extensive network of forest trails to explore on horseback, trail bikes, mountain bikes or on foot. It is a practical, peaceful, and well-maintained site designed for relaxed stays and genuine bush experiences.

Before you visit

It is advisable to download google maps to use offline before visiting the forest. There is limited network coverage in the area.

Please consider the following safety and maintenance disclaimer when using the trail network:

Marked tracks within the forest are indicated by coloured arrows and represent established competition routes. These trails are actively maintained during the competition season (February–October); however, while every effort is made to keep them in good condition, Tenterfield Endurance Riding Club cannot guarantee trail conditions.

Users are responsible for assessing conditions, riding or travelling within their own capabilities, and exercising appropriate caution at all times, as weather events, fallen timber, and natural changes may affect trail safety.
